THE PROBLEM THAT LED ME HERE: I started my online business journey nearly 4 years ago. I was a single mum and my only career till then had been running and owning restaurants. I was in a situation that had me at a crossroad. Put my daughter in full time care or change my career? I went looking for a solution.
THE CIRCUMSTANCE THAT WAS A BUST: After becoming a single mum when Aisha was only 6 months old I had very little options. I was on the single parent pension and couch surfing from family member to family member as I was unable to afford rent. With food and clothing being the priority I had to be very smart with my money. My only experience was in hospitality. I was able to find some relief when I landed a 1 day a week job in disability support care. This helped to get me to a stage where I was able to get my daughter and I a home for ourselves.
THE BOOK THAT LED ME TO SUCCESS: I've been an avid reader of Personal Development since I was 15 years old. It started with my mother and er teachings that led me to books like Celestine Prophecy, the Four Agreements and so on... Every spare cent I had would be spent on books and courses. In the midst of this particularly low point where I could barely make rent I was reading "The Secret" (by Rhonda Byrne, a book about The Law Of Attraction) and it made me think "there was more I needed to do with my life" so I went googling for opportunities that would give me the flexibility to work around Aisha from my kitchen bench. That night an ad on Facebook popped up, there was something about it that made me pop in my details and the rest as they say is history!
THE BUSINESS THAT WAS A BOOM: The business that I was led to that day, is the business that I still run today. Representing award winning Personal Development products. Tapping into a global economy and connecting with clients from New Zealand to South Africa and everything in between.
